The Body Knows When to Let Go

There comes a moment when holding on begins to feel heavier than the fear of release.

It doesn’t always arrive loudly.
Sometimes it shows itself in quiet ways—
in the tension behind your shoulders,
in the way your breath shortens without reason,
in the exhaustion that sleep no longer fixes.

The body keeps a record of what the mind tries to manage.

And there is a point where it gently begins to ask—
Is this still yours to carry?

Healing is often misunderstood as effort.
As something to work through, fix, or control.

But there is another path.
A quieter one.

One that asks you not to push harder—
but to soften.

To listen.

To allow what has been tightly held
to slowly loosen without force.

Release does not mean forgetting.
It does not erase what has been.

It simply creates space
for what is no longer meant to stay.

The body knows when it is time.

And when you trust it—
even in small ways—
you begin to feel something shift.

Not all at once.

But enough to remind you
that healing does not always come from control.

Sometimes it comes from letting go
just enough to breathe again.
